Hello Quilters!

Our regularly scheduled Bee for Monday, June 15th is moving, at least for this month. We will only be working on Community Outreach projects. Unfortunately there will not be any Quilts of Valor or open sewing this month!

The management at Raintree still hasn’t given us the go ahead to use the Duck Pond. We are in great need of getting some quilt tops kitted up with backing and batting so they are ready to be quilted. We will be meeting at 9:00 AM at

Manna Fellowship Church
17324 S. Route 291
Pleasant Hill, MO 64080

My church is just 5 minutes further south of the 150 exit off 291 South. Going south on 291 the church is on the right just before you get to the 58 Hwy stoplight. I know this isn’t the ideal situation but at least we will be able to meet and get more Community Outreach quilts ready for July.

I will be bringing the Community Outreach tops, backing & batting along with an iron and ironing board. If I have room I will bring a large cutting mat and cutter, but we could probably use 1 more. We will need at least 1 sewing machine to sew backings together. If you are planning to come and can bring some of the needed items, please email me at eddiesong@hotmail.com or call me at 816-739-6745 so I make sure we have everything covered that we need.

Thank you for continuing to work on projects to bless our Community even though we haven’t been meeting. Rosanna Smith took a trunk full of quilts to the Salvation Army Children’s Shelter this week and I know they were greatly appreciated.

Please come and help us if you can. The more help we have the quicker we will get done. Bring a lunch too just in case it takes us longer than 3 hours!

Hopefully we will be able to get back to some semblance of normal soon!
